Basement Windows

Windows can make your basement appear more pleasing and boost safety. Large basement windows, sometimes known as "egress windows," from Pella of Lethbridge are made to permit more light into underground spaces than the older, smaller, rectangular windows that are added above ground. They also offer a way to get out in case of an emergency.

The main difference between basement, or egress, windows and standard windows is that basement windows have to be large enough for an average-sized person to get out in order to meet safety requirements outlined in building codes. You’re able to select from properly sized casement, sliding or double-hung windows when you add basement windows. Be sure you totally understand local building codes prior to purchasing basement windows.
